Lookbook: Binondo Boi

November 14, 2017

Amid the daily hustle and bustle in the city of Manila, my friend and I took a chance to explore one of the city's historical gems. Yep you got it right, it's Binondo. Who would have thought that this very busy town can give you nothing but pure fusion of both modern and vintage vibes? In spite of the mayhem on the busy streets of the town, you can definitely feed up your gram with amazing photos. Thanks to the diversity offered by the different corners of Binondo!

My friend and I had a photowalk on a Sunday, so basically almost all of the stores were closed. I felt a lil bit disappointed because we really wanted to capture the usual "Binondo Grind", but what surprised us is how our compositions turned out. The whole set shows the "still and chill" side of Manila's amazing Chinatown.

Who wouldn't want a pic on the iconic Jone's Bridge?

Oh, those closed stores. Always a classic.

OMG?!?! Very HK, right??

Don't forget the solid colored walls.

Good thing there's no fire sitch at that time. hehe

More random street elements y'all.

OMG MY FRIEND FRAMED THESE SOOOOO WELL:

Binondo lights caused us eyegasm tbh.

(Disclaimer: this is not a paid post. lol)

See, you don't really have to travel that far just to get those picture perfect photographs. Re-discover your area and get familiar with the different landmarks and spots around your place. A little exploring doesn't hurt that much (trust me)! Now get your gears and outfits ready, and head on to your next shoot in Manila!

All photos were captured by my great friend Yasmin Salamanca. Check her gram @oggythemagician and show her some love.
